This special designed house uses airtight shell, insulation, air filter system, vent system and selective windows. These factors creates comfortable environment without much use of the electricity.
The passive house construction was invented in Europe about 10 years ago. After finding success in providing energy efficient home, these techniques were used in many buildings in different countries in Europe. The passive house helps in keeping the environment safe. The high quality air filter used in these houses produces best indoor air quality without sending the filtered air waste out to the environment. Thus, protects the air from pollution.
There are few factors for making a home energy efficient or qualify for calling “passive” home. Firstly, the home must have an airtight shell so that heating and cooling that is happening inside remains inside. The home should have high quality insulation layer installed to keep the energy and heat inside. The passive house should employ vent system meant for filtering and collecting heat emissions which electronics installed house produces. And lastly, the windows of the houses should be specially design and set up so that it can take full advantage of the solar heat for heating the home naturally.
